I’m the girl in the restaurant taking pictures of my dessert. I’m the girl with one hand on the steering wheel and a camera hanging out the window. I’m the girl who just snapped a photo of you stuffing a corny dog in your mouth.

I adore cake. It’s the bee’s knees. Life without cake is not life at all.

I like to drive with the windows down and feel the air swirl around me. I like to crank up the radio and sing, but I’m self-conscious about my voice and you’ll never hear me croon. I love adventures and the open road, stopping to shoot everything around me.

I buy season passes to the State Fair of Texas every year and spend hours shooting the people and being inspired. Dallas is my home.

I have at least one camera on my body at all times. I live & breathe photography and life inspires me.

If I had a bumper sticker on my car, it would say, “I’d rather be shooting.”

This addiction began when my parents gave me a Kodak Disc camera as a kid. I would shoot from the car window and was amazed with the images and how “reality” was not as it appeared. Eventually, I majored in art in college and my fascination with photography grew.

I used plastic cameras, pinholes, polaroids and alternative processes before they became trendy. I’m a gadget girl and a bag junkie. I have more camera bags than you can shake a stick at, and no, I still haven’t found that perfect bag.

I’m a thinker, not a speler.

I love shooting film with my Mamiya.

So the next time you see a girl shooting her pancakes, it’s probably me.
